Equip, edify, and encourage believers to grow and to mature in their worship, fellowship, and communion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; to be healed from their brokenness and discipled into wholeness as they live out their God-given purpose, impacting the world with the tools that He has provided through the Five-fold Ministry.
Pastor Dessie R. Pulliam is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and the wife of Bishop Delbert W. Pulliam, Sr. of twenty-nine eventful years. Dessie attended Campbell Business College and the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She relocated to Georgia in 1985 and attended the Dale Carnegie Institute where she received a Certificate of Completion. She later attended the Sure Foundation Theological Seminary, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theological Studies.
She has completed many personal studies as well. She was employed at Ford Motor Company for twenty years, until her retirement. Prior to her partnering with Bishop D. W. Pulliam in the ministry, at her former church, she spearheaded the Hospitality Ministry. In this ministry, she implemented the Outreach Program, worked as the Church Administrator, and the Facilitator of the Women’s Ministry (Women of Purpose).
In 1992 coupled with her husband Dr. D. W. Pulliam, Sr. a church was birthed in the home. Dessie worked along-side her husband from the very beginning baptizing members in the den of their home. They moved out of the home into a building. In 2004, she became an ordained minister and in 2005 she furthered her education and received a Bachelor Degree in Theology to be an asset to the ministry.
As the Co-Pastor, she conducted various other duties in conjunction with the Bishop. She has been a Chaplain of Piedmont Rockdale Hospital since 2008. In 2012, Bishop Pulliam became ill and Pastor Dessie Pulliam had to assume the leadership role of senior pastor. In 2015 as senior pastor at Turning Pointe Christian Church, Pastor Pulliam continued the vision God gave Bishop Pulliam. She spearheaded the Prison Ministry while building relationships through community outreach ministries.
Bishop Delbert W. Pulliam transitioned from this life in August of 2020, leaving Dessie to continue the work of God’s revelation. She believes in demonstrating love. Just as Jesus demonstrated love to us on Calvary's cross, we should exhibit love regardless of the culture or ethnicity of men, women, and children throughout the world.
1 Peter 4:8 says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." (NIV).
Dessie volunteers as a Chaplain at the Georgia Diagnostic State Prison in Jackson, GA. She is a chaplain with “Women In Transition” (WIT) in Atlanta, GA. WIT supports women transitioning from the criminal justice system back into the community through engaging people of faith. Dessie also serves as Outreach Georgia National Chaplain/ATL with the National Redemption Project – Outreach Re-Entry Ministry, which is offered to Ex-offenders and their families and the Homeless Population in Florence, Alabama and around the country.
Pastor Dessie Pulliam’s objective is to see men's' and women’s hearts and bodies resurrected from the Gospel, to see young people’s lives changed through the Gospel, and to see them become useful citizens in this society through the help and encouragement of the multiplicity of programs offered at Turning Pointe Christian Church. The Word of God teaches us that a man or woman can change through faith, by listening to the Gospel, and allowing it to have its perfect work in us.
Bishop Delbert W. Pulliam, Sr. is the founder of Turning Pointe Christian Church (TPCC), located in Conyers, GA. He is a native of Detroit, Michigan. His educational background includes an Associate Degree in Business from Wayne County Community College and Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Tennessee State University, a Bachelors Degree in Theology, Masters Degree in Christian Church Administration, and a Doctorate Degree in Theology from International Apostolic College of Grace and Truth.
Bishop Pulliam was ordained in June 1979, at Bethlehem Temple, Detroit, MI. Prior to organizing TPCC, Dr. Pulliam served at Bethany Temple Church of Montgomery, Alabama and Bethlehem Temple in Detroit, Michigan. He has been in the ministry for over 40 years. In addition to his duties as Pastor, Bishop Pulliam served as Chaplain for the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department and served as a Certified Addiction Counselor for the state of Georgia.
In July of 2012, Bishop Pulliam was ordained as Suffragan Bishop of Region II of the 58th District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, INC.
Bishop Pulliam is the author of several publications. One of those is “The Fragmentation of the Doctrine of Jesus Christ.” The Lord blessed Suffragan Bishop Pulliam with a healing ministry and used him to heal hundreds of people. He has baptized over 700 souls. TPCC had some great adventures; having miracles, signs, and wonders in the mist.
God blessed Suffragan Bishop Pulliam to teach with vigor and passion. In spiritual matters, he teaches to walk down the middle of the road. Not veering to far to the left or the right, but staying in the path and keeping all eyes focused on Jesus. It is Dr. Pulliam’s objective that man be taken care of spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically, affording every soul an opportunity to enter the kingdom of God.
In August of 2020, Bishop Delbert W. Pulliam left all those who loved him to be with the Lord. We miss him and love him, but we know that God loves him more.
